Here is how you can make a beautiful DIY handmade purse using ropes.
Things you need to make a Rope Basket
- Mount board
- Nylon Rope (white or your favorite color)
- Pencil
- Scale
- Cutter
- Divider
- Glue gun
- Scissors
- Artificial flowers (same or colorful)
- Decorative lace
Procedure
Step 1: Take a mount board, pencil and scale to draw 2 squares for both the sides with size 18cm on the mount board.
Step 2: Cut the squares using a cutter.
Step 3: Using a divider and pencil, make a radius or circle with 9cm measures on both the mount boards for making the front and back side of the purse.
Step 4: With the help of a cutter, cut down the circles from both the mountboards.
Step 5: Take one of the circular mount boards, glue gun, and nylon rope. Start from the center and stick the nylon rope forming circles.
Step 6: While reaching the edge of the mount board, leave a length unstuck to the board forming the handle of the purse. Take the rope downwards and cut it sticking the rope firmly below.
Step 7: Similarly, cover the second circle with the rope making a handle with similar measures while completing the edge of the mount board.
Step 8: Take a mount board strip and stick it from the end of the handle to the second end of the handle of the circular mount board to form the base of the purse.
Step 9: Use some glue on the inner side of the board to give the base some firmness.
Step 10: Take a nylon rope and start sticking on the strip to give the base a decorative look.
Step 11: Complete covering the strip to the end with the nylon rope.
Step 12: Apply some glue on the last rope of the strip and stick the second circular mount board on the last rope strip.
Step 13: Apply some glue in the inner side of the purse to add some firmness to the purse.
Step 14: Yippie! Your purse is ready. To give it a decorative look, get some artificial flowers of the same color or different ones along with two laces.
Step 15: Take the artificial flowers and stick them on one of the sides of the purse using some glue. You can decorate them on one side, center to bottom, or any other style you wish to.
Step 16: Take two pieces of the laces and stick them on the rope sides of the purse.
