 Material Required to Make the Origami Lotus
- Colour papers
- Scissors
- Couple of rubber bands
Procedure
Step 1: Take coloured paper and cut Green paper measuring 14 cm x 7 cm.
Step 2:Â Cut yellow paper measuring 5 cm x 3 cm
Step 3:Â Cut Pink paper measuring 14 cm x 7 cm
Step 4: Begin by folding the pink paper in half to give you a middle crease.
Step 5:Â Fold the 4 corners inwards.
Step 6:Â Now fold the remaining edges inwards too.
Step 7:Â Flip the paper and fold the edges along the length of the paper again.
Step 8: Repeat the same procedure with all pink coloured papers to make the 12 pieces to make the petal.
Step 9: Now take the Green coloured paper and repeat the same procedure of folding the paper.
Step 10: Time to make the stamen for the Lotus. For that, take the yellow coloured papers and trim the edges closely to at an equal distance. Trim 3 pieces of yellow paper to make the stamen.
Step 11:Â Make three sets of: 1 leaf + 2 petals + 1 stamen.
Step 12:Â Make three sets of: 1 leaf + 2 petals.
Step 13:Â Arrange and club together these paper sets together and fasten them with a rubber band.
Step 14:Â You are halfway in making your beautiful Origami Lotus.
Step 15:Â Divide the bunch in 4 sets.
Step 16:Â Now all you have to do is to open the folds of the paper and make petals with each of them to make a complete flower.
Step 17:Â Shape the folds after opening them accordingly with the help of your fingers.
