Ingredients-

  • ½ cup Shea Butter
  • ½ cup Oatmeal
  • 1 cup Coconut oil
  • Lavender essential oil ( 5 to 10 drops)
  • 2 teaspoons Vitamin E oil

Method of Preparation

Grind oats finely to obtain a powder-like or flour like consistency. Gently heat and melt coconut oil in a saucepan and add 5 to 10 drops of lavender essential oil. Then add ½ cup shea butter and stir the mixture well. Now add finely ground oatmeal to the pan and mix well to form a smooth paste. Finally, add vitamin E oil and mix evenly on low heat flame. After mixing well, remove from heat and set aside in a storage container. Allow it to harden for few hours and then use on face and hands.

4. Vanilla and Vitamin E Butter Moisturizer

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla oil
  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon of Vitamin E oil
  • ½ cup of shea butter

Method of preparation

Add ½ cup of shea butter into a bowl. Add melted coconut oil to shea butter and mix well. To this mixture add vanilla oil and vitamin E oil and stir well. Whip it up with a fork and freeze until the mixture solidifies completely. Store in an airtight container. This moisturizer is ready for use.

5. Beeswax and Jojoba Oil Moisturizer

This DIY natural face moisturizer adds to the favorite list among homemade face moisturizer. It is simple to make and easy to apply. Jojoba oil contains myristic acid which is similar to human skin composition. Jojoba traps water in the skin making it an excellent moisturizer. It can also be used to treat inflammation and acne.   • ¼ cup of beeswax
  • 10-15 drops of jojoba oil

Melt beeswax in a saucepan and add 10-15 drops of jojoba oil and stir well. Set aside in a storage container. Once the mixture solidifies it can be used on the skin as a moisturizer.
